Alright, real talk. I am obsessed with fall decor.
It is my favorite season of the year.
I don’t know why it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I don’t know what it is about the leaves turning beautiful shades of reds, oranges, yellows, and gold or adventures to the pumpkin patch that make my heart sing. Maybe the smell of burning logs from the campfire or the taste of pumpkin spice makes this season better than the rest.
What I do know is that I honor this feeling, especially within my home.
I find joy in incorporating these elements into my home all year, especially in the fall.

THE COLOR PALETTE
You know I’m always about starting with that color palette.
In the fall, I like to incorporate deeper, muted reds, oranges & greens. These colors lay beautifully in front of a neutral backdrop. However, if your current color palette does not mesh well with these colors, do not fret! Color is not the only way to decorate for fall. Incorporating fall objects in the same color as your palette is an alternative.
THE PUMPKINS
All of them. Give me all. of. them.
Incorporating pumpkins into your home will automatically send #fallvibes, no matter the color. I suggest selecting pumpkins that are of similar color to your home decor. Painting them is an easy trick if you’re not into the traditional fall colors.
THE FLORALS
No matter the season, florals are always a great decor go-to. This is an easy swap to make from season to season. Mums, sunflowers, and daisies are a few of many fall florals to pick from.
THE BRANCHES
Branches are a great way to bring in organic shape and movement. They layer well with other decor items because of their larger size. Leafy or not so leafy, you can’t go wrong. Regardless, branches will add warmth to your space while bringing the outdoors in.
THE LIGHTING
Lighting is my favorite way to accent fall decor. No matter how much or how little, the right layering techniques will create the ultimate cozy vibe in time for the season.
Eye-level lighting like lamps and sconces are great starting points. They illuminate the space without creating harsh lighting.
THE METALS
It’s all in the details, right??
Rich metals like brass and matte black nod toward the spooky season, while adding a rich touch to the space. It’s another layer of texture that will contrast beautifully with your fall decor.
