The Popular Paint Colors of 2022
The Popular Paint Colors of 2022
The most popular paint colors of 2022 have been revealed. Whether you’ve moved to a new space or want to spice up your current place, paint is an easy and cost-effective route to take, especially in a rental. Color evokes moods. Knowing how you want the room to feel can help guide the process, no matter your design style. Whether you’re a neutral minimalist or a bold maximalist, these popular paint colors have something for everyone.
Of course, I’m not suggesting these because of their popularity. However, with the support of further research, these colors create a number of positive emotions, which especially benefit highly-sensitive people like myself.
The most popular paint colors this year are nature-inspired. Mimicking the outdoors, they offer a calm and cool vibe. If interested in further exploring the intersection of nature and design, check out my post, How To Use Nature to Create the Ultimate Cozy Vibe.

Greens
Green is by far the most popular paint color this year symbolizing growth, rebirth, nature, stability, endurance, and abundance, green conveys a balancing or harmonizing effect and is often used in relation to wealth, refreshment, peace, rest, and security. These colors may be best used in places of gathering such as the family and dining rooms.
Nature-inspired and gray greens are particularly popular. The nature-inspired colors present a little richer in hue, while the gray-inspired are slightly more muted.
Blues
Similar to the greens, the ocean-inspired colors are closer to the blue hue, while the gray-inspired are less so.
Blues convey peace and stability. They express serenity, tranquility, security, order, and productivity. These may be best used in a bedroom or office where calmness is the priority.
Neutrals
Depending on the color, neutrals can convey multiple moods. While white conveys simplicity & perfection, hope & clarity, brown conveys strength, reliability, dependability, warmth, comfort, and grounding.
The beauty of them is that they work in any room. And while they are still neutral, some hint toward other colors as well.
